Hi! I’m Sofia,
a Peruvian interior and landscape designer based in Berlin.
I didn’t grow up surrounded by nature.
I grew up in small spaces, where contact with it was limited… but meaningful.
One of my earliest memories is watching my mother care for a simple Peruvian cactus.
She treated it with patience and respect, and I remember the calm it brought into our home.
That’s when I first understood that even a small piece of nature can change how a space feels.
Years later, while studying interior design, I created a project about a natural, sustainable spa, a place where everything felt alive, calm, and connected to nature.
At that time, I had no access to design trends, references or inspiration. Everything came from observation, imagination, and intuition.
Looking back, I realise I wasn’t just designing a space, I was trying to create the kind of environment I had missed.
After moving to Germany, that same instinct found its way back into my life through plants.
Living in a small apartment and adapting to Berlin’s climate pushed me to experiment, observe, and find ways to bring nature into everyday spaces.
That’s how Gardenstogo was born.
Today, I create small, living compositions designed to bring calm, balance and a sense of connection into daily life.
Each piece is handmade using natural materials, with attention to texture, form and emotion — not just to decorate a space, but to make you feel better in it.
Because I believe that feeling good in your environment is not a luxury — it’s something we all need.
