Kokedamas
Water.💦
To check if it needs water, gently touch the moss. If it feels dry or very light, it’s time to hydrate.
Best water: Filtered or still mineral water.
Succulents:
Summer: Water 2 x week. Winter: Water 1 x week or 2 x month
Bromeliads and Azaleas:
All year around: 1 x week.
Camellias:
Summer: Water 2 x week., Winter: Water 1 x week or 2 x month
Fully submerge the moss ball (excluding the plant) in a bowl of water for about 15 -20 or 30 minutes (If you’ve left it without watering for a couple of weeks) .
Then, let it drain naturally on a surface — no squeezing needed.
If you’ve gone over the time, don’t worry, it’s not a problem! Let the ball drain as much excess water as possible by placing it on its side until no more water drips out.
Light.🌞
Your succulent , Bromeliad and Pines plant thrives in morning light! Keep it happy with 4-5 hours of sunshine. Avoid direct sunlight, ensure the room is fresh and well-ventilated. You can also move it outdoors in Spring and Autumn.
For azaleas and camellias: they need light and thrive in bright, indirect sunlight. In winter, it’s not a problem if they receive less sunlight. If possible, place them near a window where they can get soft, gentle winter light.
Spa.🛀🏻
Occasionally spray water on the moss to keep it green.
Bromeliads:
Spray the leaves of the plant to keep humidity and pour water on the center of the bromeliad, it hydrates from there. All year around: 1 x week.
For azaleas and camellias:These plants can also be placed outdoors down to –10 °C. A short stay on a balcony or in a spot with fresh, cold air will make them happy and help them bloom.🌷
Heat wave in Summer: Place the whole plant in a cool room, it doesn’t matter if is a bit dark.
